Directions– Faro Airport to Carvoeiro

When you have collected your car, follow the signs to leave the airport and initially (at the roundabout with statues) take the Faro road which also says A22. You will pass all the car depots. Keep straight until you see a large sign saying Portimao A22 (don’t turn right where you see the speed limits – your turn is just beyond this). This is about 2.5k from the airport.

Forward signs will say you are on the IC4. Stay to the left at the turnoffs, passing the turn for Almancil following the signs saying 1P1 (Loule). Keep left at the next one saying Albufeira A22. Next you will see a sign saying Portimao A22 and you enter the motorway turning right here.

You are now on the A22 motorway and you keep on this all the way to the Lagoa exit. You will pass turnoffs to Vilamora, Albufeira, Guia, Armarcao de Pera – ignore these and keep straight on.

Turn off at the Logoa exit (exit 6). Follow all the brown signs at the roundabouts for Lagoa Sul (south) which is also signed for Carvoeiro. Follow all the signs to Carvoeiro which will lead you back onto the N125 for just a few hundred yards. You pass straight over one set of traffic lights You will then take a right turn at the next traffic lights leading you onto the minor road to Carvoeiro (this too is signed "Carvoeiro" so watch out for the signs).

After 200 metres the road splits – take the left fork to Carvoeiro (the right fork leads you to Sesmarias, Carvoeiro Clube and the Pestana Golf course). Keep on this road, passing the Intermarche supermarket on your right. Just a few hundred metres more and you are there. Now follow the villa direct ions (we will send you these with your air tickets).
