Beaches

	Carvoeiro Town Beach
	A very pretty beach, but this can get very busy in the peak season. Shops and restaurants are handy to pick up your lunch, ices for the children or drinks. There are sunbeds and sunshades available in summertime for a modest cost.

	Paraiso Beach, Carvoeiro
	This usually quiet beach is situated up the hill to the right of the town beach, passing Sulleys Bar and following the road to the right. Park overlooking the beach which is reached down quite a few steps so you have to be fit!

	Centianes Beach, Carvoeiro
	A lovely beach with plenty of space at low tide - recently extended with some old cliff removed (to make it safe). There's a good fish restaurant O Stop, overlooking the beach, recently been completely rebuilt to modern hygene standards. The beach is approached by a pathway from a small gravel carpark and there are a few steps leading down onto the beach. Sunbeds & shades

	Vale do Covo, Carvoeiro
	A small pretty little cove just past the Almonsor Hotel and reached by quite a few steps. Quite small but well worth the steps - explore the little caves eaten away by the ocean. The cliffs are lit up at night and give a romantic view from the Almonsor Hotel bar balcony.

	Carvalho Beach, near Carvoeiro
	Steps again down to this beach and through a tunnel in the rocks. All worthwhile for the lovely sandy sheltered beach when you are there - and interesting walks in the vacinity. Good parking area before the climb down.

	Benagil, near Carvoeiro
	The fisherman still use this beach for landing their fish - everyone wanders over to see what is in the catch. There is a little snack bar for fisherman and tourists alike as well as other restaurants up the hill (either side) into the village. Limited parking on the roadside.

	Marinha Beach, near Carvoeiro
	Plenty of parking in the clifftop carpark, but it is a tidy step along the coast path and down the steps to the several lovely beaches. Surprisingly there is a snack bar on the beach in summer and a kiosk in the car park.. Beautiful stretch of coastline with beautiful cliff walks.

	Praia Pinta Dinho, Ferugado, near Carvoeiro
	A nice beach overlooking the Marinha at Portimao. Sunbeds and shades available in the summer and a good fish restaurant/snack bar on the beach. Nice walks along the cliff , with stunning views, towards Ferrogudo or Praia Dues Canaries. Good car parking close to beach.

	Dues Canaries, Ferugado, near Carvoeiro
	Another nice beach with beach restaurant/snack bar but with limited parking.   You can relax under your sunshade and watch the little (and not so little) fishing boats passing.   Sunbeds and sunshades are available in summer and there is a kiosk selling fruit and ice creams.
